Anna was born and raised in Ladysmith BC. Anna attended Malaspina/VIU and graduated in 2003 from the Bachelor of Arts Program, majoring in business with a specialization in accounting. After obtaining her degree she landed a position at Church Pickard as an articling accountant while completing the Chartered Accountant School of Business program. Anna then received her Chartered Accountant designation in 2007.

Anna is a member of the Rotary Club of Nanaimo Daybreak and has been the club Treasurer for 13 years and President in 2020/2021. Anna received the honour of Rotarian of the Year award, as well as the Top 20 under 40 Business and Community Achievement award.

During her time at Church Pickard, Anna has practiced in the areas of general accounting and advising, audits and reviews of financial statements, and tax. She also specializes in GST, especially with respect to the Real Estate industry.
